Each course is one product learners buy, for example a full HSK 2 course. Prices are set by the administrator after review. Mock tests are separate and not part of a course.

Every sale is split automatically: 90% is yours, 10% is the app fee. The administrator pays everything that is waiting once a week.

Every lesson of a teacher course is approved here before buyers can see it. Look inside (words with voice, sentences, videos, slides and files), then approve or send it back with a note. When a teacher changes an approved lesson, buyers keep seeing the approved version until you approve the change.

Photo, cover, bio and intro video changes wait here. Learners keep seeing the last approved profile until you approve.

Courses appear here as soon as a teacher saves a draft. Submitted courses wait for review. Use Look inside to see the lessons and material linked to a course.

Course languages.

Teachers pick one of these languages for each course (they cannot add their own). Chinese uses the HSK levels 1 to 9; every other language uses Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. Each language also gets its own space in the student app. Switch a language off to stop new courses in it.

In the App Store and Google Play a course is sold under one of these price tiers (the same ids course_tier_1 to course_tier_15 in both stores). Type here the US dollar price each tier has in your store account; the app shows the store's own local price. Pick the closest tier for each course above. Teachers never see prices or tiers; only you can change them.

1. Press Prepare payouts. 2. Send each amount by bKash, Nagad, bank or PayPal. 3. Write a reference (for example the week) and press Mark all as paid. Sales newer than the number of days below are kept for the refund window.

Welcome, teacher.

This guide explains how to add your course, step by step. Open it any time from the Guide tab.

Your first 10 minutes.

1. Set your public name. Lessons tab, first card, My public profile and ratings: your name and a short bio. Learners see this on the course outline, with your star ratings.
2. Create a lesson. Lessons tab, + New lesson. Choose the HSK level and the Learning track, give it a number, an English title, the Chinese title, a one-sentence goal and a short tip. Numbers start at 1 in each level and track.
3. Add the words. For every word: Chinese, pinyin with tone marks (check the suggestion), English meaning and the Bengali meaning, plus an example sentence if you can.
4. Add the sentences (words in order, English and Bengali) so students can practise building them.
5. Add a video. Videos tab: choose the lesson, a clear title and an .mp4 (H.264, under 50 MB). Short videos of 3 to 8 minutes work best.
6. Add files. Files tab: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more (50 MB each). Choose the level, and a lesson if the file belongs to one lesson. Tick the box that you own the file or may share it.
7. Publish. Tick Published on the lesson when it is ready. Students only see published lessons. Check how it looks in the app first.

Good to know.

• Nothing is lost. Everything you add or change is kept by the administrator, even if it is deleted. You cannot delete uploaded files; if you removed something by mistake, ask the administrator to restore it.
• Ratings. Learners who can use your level rate you from 1 to 5 stars. Only the average is public. There are no comments.
• Your type decides where you can add content. International teachers add to the standard course, Bangladeshi teachers to the Bangladeshi Learner Pack, and teachers of both to either. To change your type, ask the administrator.
• Rights. Only upload what you created or may share. Copyrighted books and material marked "do not share" must not be uploaded.
• Quality. Speak clearly, use tone marks in pinyin, check spelling twice, and keep sentences short. Every lesson should have a goal students can reach.
• Need help? Contact the administrator who approved your account.

Record the voice.

Say each word or sentence clearly with the correct tones. Students hear your recording in the app. Record in a quiet room, about a hand's width from the microphone. Normal = natural speed. Slow = slow and clear (optional; students use it for the slow button).

Quiz columns show each student's best score. Mock columns show their latest result and number of attempts for each HSK level. Students are told that their teacher can see this.

Institutions.

A language institution has its own teachers and classes. Their material is private to their classes. Teachers with no institution form the public content team.

Course teachers and ratings.

The course outline shows who teaches each level. Lessons you or a teacher create are linked to their creator; use this to make one teacher the instructor of all public lessons of a level (for example the first 15 lessons you imported).

People who pressed "Apply as a teacher" on the login page. Approve to make them a teacher of the type they chose: International (standard course), Bangladeshi (Bangladeshi Learner Pack, Bangla and English) or both.

Add a teacher

First create their login in Supabase: Authentication, Users, Add user (tick Auto Confirm User). Then type their email here. New teachers get the teacher role. Only you stay admin.

Choose one teacher and write a message. Open the draft in your email app to review and send it.

Backup.

Download a copy of your data to keep on your own computer or Google Drive, outside Supabase. Do it every week.

The data backup includes teacher courses, lessons, material records, quiz and class records, ratings, prices, payments and the archive. The file list contains storage paths. Download the media separately if you need copies of the videos, documents or audio themselves.

E-mail alerts.

Get an e-mail when a teacher applies, a course is sent for review or a learner reports a Bangla QR payment, even when the portal is closed. Follow the steps in SETUP-MARKETPLACE.md, section "E-mail alerts", then come back here.

Archive.

Everything teachers upload or change is kept here, even after they delete it. Deleted items can be restored. Files (videos, PDFs, Word and Excel files, recordings) are never removed from storage by teachers, so a restored item opens again.

Every transaction.

One list of all money movements in your database: wallet top-ups and purchases, gateway payments (also failed ones), Bangla QR reports, course sales with the 90/10 split, teacher payouts, refunds and credits. Nothing here can be edited.

Store purchases waiting for you.

Apple or Google took a payment but the app had no matching purchase request (for example the learner bought on another phone, or the request expired). Nothing is lost: choose the course the learner meant to buy. Only courses sold under the same store product are offered. Choose "Dismiss" only after you have checked and decided to give nothing.

Create these in App Store Connect and Google Play Console with exactly these ids (the same in both stores), as consumable in-app products. Teacher course tiers are listed under Courses for sale.

Price changes.

Every change of a course price, a store tier, an HSK level or mock price and a credit price: who changed it, when, the old and the new value. Nobody can edit this list.

Choose a course or mock test and limit how many students can use the code. Free mock tests use campaign seats for participation tracking.

Paid mock tests

Save a draft now. Add at least one price and a question paper before publishing. Existing free practice stays available.

Prices.

One-time prices per HSK level. BD is what learners who chose Bangladesh pay (BDT). INTL is for everyone else (USD). Change a number and press Save. The app shows the new price at once.

Earn credits (watch ads).

Learners watch ads, collect credits and spend them to unlock a level. HSK 1, Arabic and the Translator stay free. The server enforces these numbers.

Bangla QR payments.

Learners in Bangladesh pay your merchant Bangla QR from any bank or wallet app, then report the amount and the transaction ID. Check each one against your real bank or bKash statement, then approve. Money is added to their wallet only when you approve.

Put the QR picture file (for example banglaqr.png) in the portal folder next to index.html, upload the folder again, and type its web address here, such as https://hsk-teacher.netlify.app/banglaqr.png. Your bank or payment provider gives you the merchant QR.

Institution plans.

An active plan opens everything for all students of that institution (up to the seats) and they see no prices. Set it after the institution has paid you.
